Our Story
Before There Was a Brand, There Was a Ministry.
This story didn’t begin with a clothing brand.
It began with ministry.
In 2018, my husband and I wanted to produce our first T-shirts for the ministry. We went into a print shop, and I remember being amazed by everything around me: the equipment, the layout, the process of bringing a design to life.
But when I walked out, the Lord impressed something upon my heart that I didn’t understand at the time:
That would be the first and last time I would pay someone else to produce our shirts. From that point forward, I would do it myself.
I hated hearing it.
I knew almost nothing about producing T-shirts. I loved graphic design, but I was an amateur, to say the least. I couldn’t understand why God would tell me something that seemed so far outside of my ability.
But the Lord was building something far beyond what I had the capacity to comprehend.
Preparing The Way
In 2020, the foundation of what would become this brand began to take shape.
The Lord gave me its original name:
Preparing The Way Streetwear.
At first, I thought I understood why.
The vision was to create clothing that proclaimed the Gospel and carried testimonies that could bear witness to the saving power of Jesus Christ. A shirt could become more than clothing. It could become a billboard for someone’s testimony, preparing the way for another person to encounter Christ.
That was part of God’s plan.
But it wasn’t all of it.
I didn’t realize that while I thought God was using me to build Preparing The Way, He would eventually use the journey of the brand to prepare my way back to Him.
There was a work happening behind the work.
Then Came the Darkness.
Shortly after starting the brand, I entered one of the darkest seasons of my life.
I tried to hold onto Christ while simultaneously holding onto the darkness I had become entangled in. Eventually, I discovered that I couldn’t keep embracing both.
One began canceling out the other.
I returned to things God had already delivered me from, and eventually I became worse than the person I remembered being before coming to Christ.
I didn’t recognize myself anymore.
I became entangled in the occult, perversion, deception, manipulation, rebellion, and sin. I was approaching a place where witchcraft and the occult were no longer things I was simply around. They were becoming things I was increasingly participating in.
My fear of God diminished.
I didn’t want to pray.
I didn’t want to read His Word.
Deep down, however, I still knew something:
If I would only cry out to Jesus, He could pull me out.
But I wasn’t ready.
I wanted to keep running until the wheels fell off.
Eventually, they did.
GOD SAVED ME FROM ME.
In 2023, my husband became sick.
What followed would become the most heart-wrenching, heart-piercing season of my life.
Months before the Lord ultimately called my husband home, I found myself looking at him and crying out to God with a prayer that would become one of the defining prayers of my life:
“Lord, save me from me.”
And He did.
But His grace did not arrive wrapped in comfort.
It came through circumstances that broke me open and drove me back to my knees.
I had spent so long running from God that surrender felt like crawling home.
But I crawled.
And God met me there.
My husband had once told me that because of my stubbornness and hardheartedness, there would come a day when I would cry out for the life I once had with the Lord again. He told me it would take great suffering to bring me back to a place where my heart would bow again before the King of Kings.
Those words became painfully real.
I cried.
I prayed.
I surrendered.
And little by little, the Lord began rebuilding what rebellion had torn apart.
Prayer Produced Something.
The road back wasn’t easy.
There were consequences.
There were blessings I knew I had forfeited through rebellion and disobedience. There were tears, lessons, corrections, and painful realizations.
Some of those tears continue even today.
But through all of it, God has remained faithful.
What I could not restore, He began redeeming.
What I could not rebuild, He began rebuilding.
What had become stone, He began turning back into flesh.
And I prayed more than I could remember praying before.
Those prayers began producing something.
Prayer produced power.
And heaven unleashed that power into my life.
My heart began changing.
My desires began changing.
My direction began changing.
The trajectory of my entire life began changing.
What had been dead began breathing again.
What had been dark began seeing light again.
And what I thought was over was being made new.
The Work Behind the Work
Eventually, I understood something about the original name of this brand that I couldn’t have understood in 2020.
Preparing The Way wasn’t only about preparing the way for someone else.
God was preparing my way.
Through the brand.
Through the ministry.
Through the mistakes.
Through the rebellion.
Through the consequences.
Through the prayers.
Through the pain.
Through the restoration.
He was preparing the testimony that would eventually become woven into the very foundation of what this brand was called to be.
The greatest pain of my life would become a beacon pointing somebody else toward hope.
The darkness I once wanted hidden would become a testimony proclaiming that Jesus Christ still delivers.
And the life I nearly destroyed would become evidence that God still restores.
A New Name. The Same Mission.
As time passed, the Lord brought back a name my husband had come up with years before.
At the time, we thought the name was meant for something else.
Maybe one day it still will be.
But for this season, I believe it was waiting for this.
The brand that began as Preparing The Way Streetwear has been rebuilt.
Renewed.
Refined.
And given a new identity.
The name has changed, but the mission hasn’t.
If anything, the fire behind it has become greater.
This brand still exists under the covering and mission of Shepherd’s Heart Outreach Ministries.
It still exists to proclaim Jesus.
It still exists to carry testimony.
It still exists to reach the lost.
And it will continue until every lost soul we are called to reach is reached.
But now the name carries the testimony of what happened when I finally stopped running and began crying out to God again.
HEAVEN IS UNLEASHED STREETWEAR
Presented by Shepherd’s Heart Outreach Ministries
Prayer Produced.
Heaven Unleashed.
Hearts Made New.
This isn’t simply the story behind a brand.
It’s the testimony behind the name.
What prayer produced in my darkest season, heaven unleashed into my life.
And nothing remained the same.
